03 — The trailer

Why most home jobs get the dump trailer.

For most driveways we bring our Big Tex 14LX dump trailer. It rolls in on its own tires, gets unhooked, and sits there like a parked trailer. Nothing gets dragged across your concrete on steel rails. Bigger job? The 20, 30 and 40-yard sizes are there too, and we'll tell you straight which one you need.

  • Fits tighter spots. Narrower and shorter than a big roll-off box and the truck that drops it.
  • Walk-in rear doors. Swing them open and wheel the wheelbarrow straight in.
  • Roll tarp on top. Keeps rain, snow and the neighbors' old recliner out.
  • Hydraulic dump bed. It unloads itself at the transfer station, so we turn it around fast.

04 — Load math

Will it fit?
Will it weigh?

Space runs out on cleanouts. Weight runs out on roofs. Tap in what's going and see which one gets you first. These are averages from loads we've hauled, not a quote. Pick a size to compare.

05 — What goes in

Almost everything.
Here's the "almost."

Not sure? Text a photo before it goes in. Pulling banned stuff back out at the dump costs everyone.

Toss it

  • Furniture & household junk
  • Drywall, lumber, cabinets, trim
  • Flooring, carpet & pad
  • Roof shingles (heavy, see the calculator)
  • Decking, fencing, sheds in pieces
  • Brush, branches, landscaping debris
  • Dried-out latex paint cans

Ask first

  • Mattresses & box springs
  • Fridges, freezers, AC units, dehumidifiers (refrigerant)
  • TVs and computer monitors
  • Concrete, brick, dirt (we'll set a lower fill line)
  • Bagged leaves & grass (Michigan keeps yard clippings out of landfills)

Do not load

  • Tires
  • Liquid paint, stain, solvents
  • Car & lithium batteries
  • Propane tanks, gas cans
  • Motor oil, antifreeze, fuel
  • Pool chemicals, pesticides
  • Asbestos, medical waste

Trick Half a can of latex paint? Pop the lid, stir in kitty litter or paint hardener, let it set overnight. Once it's solid, it can go in.

06 — How a rental goes

Four stops.
Zero paperwork marathons.

  1. 01

    Text or call

Address, date, and roughly what's going in. We confirm a drop window the same day.

  2. 02

    We drop it

Backed in where you want it, boards under the tires and jack. You don't have to be home. Mark the spot with a cone or a lawn chair.

  3. 03

    You fill it

Heavy stuff low and to the front, flat stuff along the walls, nothing over the red line. Tarp closed when it rains.

  4. 04

    We haul it

Weighed at the scale, ticket texted to you. Under 2 tons? You owe nothing more. Over? $60 a ton. That's it.

09 — Questions we get every week

Straight answers.

Didn't see yours? Text it. It's faster than a contact form, promise.

Which dumpster size do I need?

Rough guide: a 12-yard ($299) handles a garage or basement cleanout. A 15-yard ($325) covers a kitchen or bath tear-out or a small roof. A 20-yard ($399) fits a bigger remodel or a whole-house cleanout. The 30-yard ($499) and 40-yard ($599) are for new construction, major renovations and commercial jobs. Every size includes 7 days and 2 tons. The calculator above does the math, or just text us what you're tackling.

What does "2 tons included" mean?

Every rental includes delivery, pickup, a full 7 days, and the first 4,000 lb at the dump. The transfer station weighs the load and we text you the scale ticket. Anything over 2 tons is $60 per ton. Most household cleanouts come in under. Shingles, plaster, tile and dirt are the usual culprits when they don't.

Will it mess up my driveway?

Driveway protection comes with every rental. Boards go under the wheels and the jack every time, and our trailer sits on rubber tires, not steel rails. If your concrete was poured in the last month or your asphalt is fresh, tell us and we'll spot it accordingly.

Can it go in the street?

A driveway is easiest. Some cities want a permit for anything parked in the road, so send us the address and we'll tell you what yours needs before we schedule.

Do I need to be home for drop-off or pickup?

No. Mark the spot (chalk, a cone, a lawn chair, we've seen it all), keep the driveway clear, and make sure nothing's parked behind it on pickup day.

Can I keep it longer than 7 days?

Usually, if the calendar allows. Text us before day 7 and we'll sort it out.

How does junk removal pricing work?

A single item or small pile is $149. A full truck load (a garage, a basement, whole rooms) is $599. Anything in between is priced by how much of the truck it fills, with labor and disposal included. Text us a few photos and we'll give you a ballpark before anyone drives anywhere.

How soon can you get here?

Junk removal is often same-day when the schedule allows, and next-day dumpster drops are usually open. Fridays and Saturdays book up first in spring and fall, so text early in the week if you can.
